The Cowboys shared encouraging injury news ahead of Sunday’s matchup with Carolina, giving Dak Prescott and the offense a major boost after their dominant win over the Jets.
Dak Prescott was amazing in the Dallas Cowboys’ 37-22 Week 5 win over the New York Jets. While advancing to 2-2-1, Prescott finished with 237 passing yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions.
He did so without several key starters on the offensive line, including offensive tackle Tyler Guyton and offensive guards Tyler Booker and Tyler Smith, who was only active in case of emergency. Of course, his usual top target, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, was also inactive due to an ankle injury he suffered in Week 3.
The Cowboys are now set to face the Carolina Panthers, who are coming off a 27-24 win over the Miami Dolphins. There’s hope the Cowboys will get a few weapons back.

Dallas’ first injury report for Week 6 came out on Wednesday, offering a positive update on both Guyton and Smith.
After not playing against the Jets, Guyton (concussion) and Smith (knee) were each listed as limited participants, giving hope that both could be good to go against Carolina.

The Cowboys’ offensive line has already performed well this year. Prescott has been sacked just seven times this season, which is tied for the sixth least in the NFL. He was sacked just once against the Jets.
If both Guyton and Smith can return, it gives an already effective offensive line a boost in the right direction. The Panthers have struggled to rush the passer as well, tied for 31st in sacks (five).
Prescott has an opportunity to build on his 1,356 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions to start the 2025 season.
Kickoff between the Cowboys and Panthers is on Sunday, scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at Bank of America Stadium, airing on FOX.
